North River and One of its Branches
New and old works by Ragnar Naess & Maxine Krasnow
October 17th - November 13th
Opening: October 17th, 6 - 9 p.m.
In 1977, Maxine saw Ragner's work at the Lincoln Center Craft Fair for the first time. It was in part what inspired her to try her hand at clay. Life has come full circle and for the first time Maxine and Ragnar will be showing together.
Ragnar Naess (DBA: North River Pottery) has been making high end functional pottery for 40 years and more recently clay sculpture. He hopes to discover where clay will take him in a full lifetime. Sharing a path with Maxine and other clay loving friends has been one of life's great gifts. Ragnar's work has been shown at the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian Washington D.C., Newark Museum, N.J. etc.
Maxine Krasnow, founder of Supermud Pottery has been making functional pottery for over 30 years. Her new work is influenced by her friend and colleague Ragnar Naess.
