SUPERMUD offers lessons in the intimate atmosphere of a working production studio. During the 12-week term, Supermud students receive hands-on instruction with liberal free practice time. Each class is limited to eight students. Supermud offers adult classes in both hand building and wheel throwing. Supermud also offers classes for children.

Beginner classes cover basic hand-building techniques, introduction to the potter's wheel, and elementary glaze chemistry.

Intermediate level classes concentrate on perfecting wheel and hand-building skills and developing an “eye” for good pots.

Teenager classes offer a creative environment to teens where they can experiment with hand building and on the wheel. Instruction is geared toward the teen's level.

Children's classes offer both hand building and wheel instruction.Children are taught various hand building, wheel throwing and glazing techniques in a small group setting.

Parent & Child classes offer a unique opportunity for parents and children to interact in a creative environment.

Financial Aid

Supermud Pottery Studio offers a work exchange program each semester where students can trade work for tuition. These positions allow students to attend a course at reduced costs. Students may apply for these positions during registration
